I have no idea why but I am so excited for this room. Actually, I know exactly why. This is the room that I am allowing myself to over-design and do whatever I want! Bold color? Check. graphic & colorful rug? YEP! Lots of art? You bet!
The office is a small room in the back half of the house on the second floor. When we toured the house it was a very small bedroom, but we took out the closet to make room for the laundry room and now it is just a very small room. If this room is anything like the office in our last home, 90% of the time it will probably be a dumping ground for extra papers and miscellaneous things. The other 10% it will be a perfectly organized space for me to retreat to and get to work. This mood board is clearly planning for that 10%.

I have always been drawn to jewel tones, but I am always cautious to add too much color to our walls (team white walls for life!), but I figured a small space like this could handle a fun, bold color. I was inspired by the color of Cass Makes Home dining room and these photos from Pinterest.

The most important part of this room will be the storage. We plan to add shelving to the open walls to hold our printer, paperwork, and all of those fun things. Here is my version of a quick rendering so you can see my vision.

I have collected inspiring art and words for a couple years now knowing that I wanted a large scale gallery wall somewhere, someday. So, I can’t wait to lay them all out and find a spot for each piece to really make this room come together. Here are some of the pieces I can’t wait to add

As always, the sources are below for you to check out. I hope you all habe a great day and thanks for stopping by!
